Abbotsbury Heritage Research Project
Abbotsbury is an ancient village on the south coast of England ten miles to the north west of Portland Bill. Visible archaeology testifies to its occupation over the last 6,000 years: ancient as well as modern man found it a good place to live. It is unusually sunny yet sheltered from the west and northerly winds.
The Research Project has been set up by the villagers, with financial support from the Local Heritage Initiative, to explore our history. The results of our researches will appear on the AHRP website.
