The Old Schoolhouse Tearooms and Tea Garden is situated in the centre of the historic and picturesque village of Abbotsbury, right next to Strangways Hall.

We serve morning tea and coffee, light lunches, cream tea, afternoon tea and our gluten free menu throughout the day.

Why not try our delicious Dorset Apple Cake served warm with Clotted Cream or Ice cream. Or a scrumptious cream tea or afternoon tea served on a cake stand – a real treat! Particularly for a birthday or special occasion, we are always happy to take table reservations.

We have a gluten free menu with a full range of sweet and savory options. Including scones and Dorset Apple Cake.

Our smaller tearoom is ideal for walking parties, small groups or parties of up to 24 people, and can be pre-booked at any time. It has a wood burner for the winter walkers.

The delightful courtyard garden is a real sun trap and is very popular.

Dogs are welcome both inside and outside.
