Here at Wheelwrights, you’ll stay in a 400-year-old thatched room that once housed the apprentices to the village wheelwright. The room has its own front door, so you can come and go as you please. Your car will be safe in our private bay off a private drive; otherwise the X53 bus regularly passes our front door.
We offer a free cream tea when you arrive, and serve breakfast in the dining room of our 17th century cottage. We can cater for most dietary needs, and can provide packed lunches if you give us enough notice.
The room itself is centrally heated, with a toilet and shower room en suite. There’s a comfortable bed, flatscreen TV with DVD, and free superfast wi-fi. We provide a variety of teas, coffee and drinking chocolate, hanging space and cupboard space for your clothes. Other touches include a hair dryer, and torches for evening walks to the nearby village inns. You’ll find their menus among the selection of local interest books.
Why not take an evening glass of wine up to our garden and see how many constellations you can identify, thanks to the complete absence of street lights in the village.
We welcome guests from all over the world. What they say about us you’ll find in our Trip Advisor reviews.
