Visiting Abbotsbury in October will be an enchanting experience in more ways than one!
The Abbotsbury Sub-Tropical Garden has enchanted garden illuminations 18th-23rd October from dusk to 8.30pm and following on ‘Fright Nights’ 24th-27th October 4.30-9pm – Halloween fun for all the family. The Tithe Barn Children’s Farm is also celebrating Halloween with themed activities from 20th-28th October. For further information or to buy tickets in advance visit www.abbotsbury-tourism.co.uk
During the daytime, Abbotsbury village has many independent shops and galleries that will enchant you in perhaps a slightly different way. Visit Purple Nanny, in Rodden Row, offering eco friendly products as well as hosting monthly art/craft exhibitions and then pop into Dansel, also in Rodden Row, for all things made of wood from the ornamental to the functional. In Back Street, Helen Millard sells amazing handcrafted glassware. In West Street, Artisan Flower Shop features items for the home and garden and further up the street, Quintessential sells everything from garden sculptures to kitchen tables.
Abbotsbury in October is the perfect place to browse for that early Christmas gift or just to treat yourself to something that little bit special and different.
