 We are an old established Dorchester practice of Chartered Accountants and we can trace our origins back over one hundred years in the county town. The firm was originally established (so we believe) in 1874 and traded until 1993 as Pearce, Clayton & Maunder. A merger with Weymouth firm Coyne, Butterworth & Chalmers increased greatly the services we were able to offer. Since 2003 the Dorchester part of the firm has traded as a separate corporate practice. In 2006 we established a link with the well established Maidenhead practice of Donald Reid & Co (where Torben's nephew and Godson is a partner) and today the two partners of that practice and their staff provide valuable help and support to us. Our name was changed to reflect the connection between the two offices. Our audit team was strengthened in 2007 with the arrival of Pete Cattermole and we hope to further develop the services we can provide in this area. Our clients range from private individuals requiring help with the annual self-assessment returns to sole traders, partnerships and small to medium sized family companies, all using the variety of services provided. Where we in Dorchester are unable to provide the service required we can call on the expertise of the larger Maidenhead firm with 2 partners and 15 staff, many of whom have valuable professional qualifications. 
Clients can come to us either in Abbotsbury (13 Rodden Row) or in Dorchester. A free initial consultation is offered to prospective new clients.
